It's a Small World, After All

Greetings from Disneyland, friends!

It's early this morning and instead of spending my energy writing some thought-provoking post (oh but I've got SO many brewing in my mind that I'm dying to write!), I think today I'll post something quick so I can enjoy every minute of this little trip with my boy and mom. :)

But, I do want to tell you about my favorite part of our adventure so far: the ever-so-magical "It's a Small World" ride. You guys, you know you're a big time boob when you come out of the boat ride celebration (filled with plastic singing dolls) with a warm fuzzy feeling drenching your very soul and mist in your eyes.

So I'm a boob.... but as I was smiling and singing along, my eyes bright and wide, I couldn't help but think of the seriously amazing women I've met since starting this journey just 2 short months ago. I have personally connected with so many of you and I have sincerely cherished every minute of it! Writing from Utah, California, Arizona, Washington, Idaho, Texas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and even further to Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, New York, and even further to Guadalajara, Mexico, Poland and Norway, amazing women from all over have reached out to me, a complete stranger. Some are writing to share their painful stories, some are only emailing in to participate in the fashion column, and some are even just saying hello, offering words of support for my personal situation... but no matter why each woman is connecting with me, I'm amazed at the heartfelt response I've received already.

It's really incredible.

As you can imagine, my heart was bursting with love as I watched the spinning dolls on the ride yesterday, singing such a universal truth... that it is a small world. Even though we are all different, living in different parts of the globe, experiencing different trials, there is this thing... some thing incredibly powerful that we women have... it's like we all share this natural drive to beautify the world... to encourage our fellow sisters... to uplift, to love and to strengthen.

To say I feel honored to have interacted with so many of you on a more personal level would be an understatement. Seriously. This little blog has been such a tremendous blessing in my life thus far and I thank you, each and every one of you. My life has changed drastically for the better because of you.

So there's to yet another (not-so-short) ooey gooey post. Sorry. I'm just so grateful and I thank you for your continued love and support and friendship; it means the world to me. And if you are in need a little love and/or support yourself and you haven't written in, please don't hesitate... because it is a small world, after all... and you never know what a simple email may bring-- for us all.

**With that, I'm off to get my MAGIC on! And being that I'm in the happiest place on earth and all fashion is completely out the window for the next 4 days, I'm TOTALLY going to buy me a Minnie Mouse blinged-up hoodie today! BOO-YA! :)

XO

  2. I LOVE Disney (seems this is the time of year when a few of my friends from PA are there, too, posting pics on FB) and "It's a small world" was such an amazing ride! It's truly magical there. I hope you have a fantastic time and can't wait to see more photos! I didn't get to do any "princess stuff" while we were there in 2008, but I did make the boys ride "Snow White's Scary Adventure" with me. I was in "awe" with her...

You make me smile, and I'm so glad to call you my friend. Big, Fat (((hugs)) to you!!
