Fashion Column: "ANNIE STYLE"

It's Fashion Column: "READER STYLE" time!
Here's what my lovely friend, ANNIE, from Texas had to share:

Hi Jacy's friends!  It's such a pleasure to be over here talking fashion today!  I was so excited when Jacy asked me to do this post because she's just so cool, but I don't have to tell you that.

Anyway, I’m Annie, a SAHM of three precious boys, wife to an awesome guy, runner, DIYer, and all around Jill-of-all-trades (master of none).  You can find me blogging over at Arlington Mama.  Most days I look like I’m going to the gym, because I stay in my running clothes all day long.  Gross, I know, but it’s either that or not jog, and that’s not an option.  I've found, though, that most people don't care if you're in gym clothes.  Seriously, who cares, right?!

But on the days that I’m actually getting out, I like to blow-dry my hair and put on a little makeup and look like I actually care (because I do).

On the left was the outfit that I wore when I took the kids to the museum the other day.  I kinda like short shorts (have you experienced Texas heat???).  I have a couple pairs of Bermudas, but I just don't find myself grabbing for them ever.  Also, I think a little accessorizing goes a long way.  I’m usually wearing at least a necklace and bracelets.

On the right is what you might catch me wearing on a date with hubs or on a girls’ night out.  (Yes, I do own more than one necklace.)  I’m totally not brave enough to wear strapless while taking care of the kiddos, so I save it for dates and whatnot.

I love wearing dresses because my boys love it so much.  It’s so cool to hear them enjoy my femininity as my sons.  My 4 year old always says that I look like a pretty princess when I wear dresses.  It’s the sweetest thing ever.  It makes me want to dress up more often just so that they can enjoy it.

Well, that’s me!  Thank you for having me over at your blog today, Jacy!  Glad to be your bloggy friend!

Annie, you are about the cutest thing ever! Thank you SO much for participating... I love both looks... I  love your hair... I love that necklace (and even better that it's so versatile)... you look refreshing, confident, natural, totally pulled-together and pretty much just incredible! Especially for being a stay at home mama to 3 Little Dudes. Amazing! Make sure you all check out her BLOG... she's got great ideas, great words... I'll just cut to the chase and say that she is GREAT :)

And now I think I'll go work out my legs... :)

**AMAZING, right? What do you love best about Annie's style?

P.S. Listen up my beautiful people! If you like this feature and have enjoyed what you've seen the last 3 months, I NEED YOU to participate! I have officially run out of submissions today and as much as I'd like to bring people in, I'm finding that I just don't have that kind of time. So... please, please, please, if you like what you see, let's keep this thing going! SNAP some pictures, write a blurb and send it on in! This is only possible with your help! Here's a reminder of how it works :)

    1. I read your comment before my last long drive of the day (after being behind the wheel way too much today), and I actually had a smile on my face during rush hour because of you! Thanks so much!

  2. No kidding! If I had legs like yours I'd rock the short shorts too! So nice to see the benefits of those runs, eh?

I love it when my boys say sweet stuff like that too. You're teaching them how to love a lady, good for you.
