Join the "Feel Better Challenge"

To all those who wanted to join in on the "Feel Better Challenge" (that's what I'm calling it because that's the goal, right?) I'm going to set up a little plan so that we can stay motivated, and share our progress :)

So! Every single Wednesday until the end of April I'm going to devote a blog post to this challenge. Whether it be a positive quote, an inspiring picture of some sort, a healthy new recipe I'm trying, I'll do that along with my activity progress.

That way, you can check in and share your progress, recipes, play lists, etc and we can stay up on the goal and keep each other going!

I will also do the update on Facebook, so you have the ability to comment there AND I thought it would be so fun to post some pictures to Instagram throughout this challenge and do so under the hashtag #feelbetterchallenge (no one has used that one yet :) Please join in the fun and post some pictures too! It can be your workout shoes, the view of where you're walking, the stats on the elliptical machine, your yoga mat, YOU, whatever.... post it so we can all see and be motivated by you! (And if you don't have Instagram or Facebook, EMAIL me your photo's and I'll post them here ;)

There are over a dozen women doing this with me... so hopefully we can all accomplish what we've set our minds to and be of help to one another. All of our goals will vary, but here's a recap of what I'm going to accomplish in the next 8 weeks:


  • At least 30 minutes of activity 5-6 days per week
  • Maintain a healthier, cleaner diet (I'm a fan of the mentality "all things in moderation")
  • No diet soda (I don't drink a lot but when I do, it hurts my belly)

I'm really proud to report that I've already walked 8 miles since I posted this challenge on Monday and I've also purchased a gym membership that has a mean stair stepper. Yikes! Just knowing when I wake up each morning that I am working toward something POSITIVE, something that will make me FEEL BETTER, something that is actually difficult for me to do, makes me HAPPIER. I already feel better just for deciding to COMMIT to this. Oh, the power of goal setting :)

Alright, so with that little jump start, HERE WE GO!

  3. I'm in! I started this weekend on a girls trip to Destin, FL. I went on a twelve mile bike ride on both Sat and Sun. It was great ride on the beach. I'm back home now, so I needed this extra motivation and I'll give up the soda. Thanks Jacy! Heading out to go run now.

    1. LOL! Jen! You can create this "feel better" challenge to suit your needs... but I know that you will, no doubt, be able to move without diet soda... :) haha! I'm so glad you're in! YAY!

  6. I'm in. I haven't been to the gym yet this week, but I'm going every day for the rest of it. And, I haven't had any diet soda for 10 days...which is pretty amazing considering I usually have two every day!

    1. Awesome.... YES Donna!! I am so excited to see how we all feel after we make activity a part of our normal routine. You're off to a great start! And props on the no-soda thing :) I'm trying really really really hard to drink a lot of water.

    1. Woohoo Becky! I'll be interested to know if you feel better :) I have replaced soda/sugary drinks with water and I feel better already! ;) Keep me posted....

  8. I love it! So in. Although I don't have instagram or facebook. Maybe a goal for me should be to get with the times!
    I will be moving more and eating more "real" foods. Desserts only 2 days a week.
